Parkland

Parkland has the youngest housing stock of anywhere we work in Broward. Heron Bay, Parkland Golf and Country Club, Cypress Head, MiraLago and the Watercrest communities were delivered largely from the late 1990s onward, with substantial construction continuing well into the 2010s. Newer slabs mean vapor barriers were standard, control joints were cut properly, and the concrete is usually in good enough condition that prep is limited to grinding and minor fill.

They are also the largest garages we coat. Three car is the baseline across most of Parkland and four car bays are common in the estate sections, which puts a lot of jobs above 900 square feet. On the largest of them we will sometimes bring a second grinder rather than stretch the day, and we tell you that when we quote rather than turning up and running past dark.

Parkland's low density zoning and its history as an equestrian community left a number of properties with detached garages, workshop buildings and RV bays alongside the attached garage. Those outbuildings often have older, rougher concrete than the house does and they coat beautifully, but they need a separate look and a separate line on the quote.

Almost all of Parkland is gated and HOA governed, with contractor hours that vary by community. We register vendors ahead of the install date so the crew is not held at the gate on a day where cure timing matters.
