Two things sink garage floors in this climate, and both happen before the first coat.
The first is preparation. Concrete cures with a dense, closed surface, and a coating coated over it has nothing to grip. It has to be opened up with diamond tooling until there is a real profile for the resin to bond into. Acid etching is the cheap substitute, it costs an installer almost nothing, and it is the single most common reason a floor that looked perfect in March is peeling by August.
The second is moisture, and this one is specific to where we live. Much of the housing stock across Broward and Palm Beach sits on sandy subgrade with a high water table, and a great deal of it was poured before under-slab vapor barriers became standard practice. Water vapor moves up through that concrete continuously. Seal it under a coating with nowhere to go and it lifts the floor off in blisters.
So we grind every slab and we test every slab. If the moisture reading comes back high, we quote a mitigating primer and tell you why. If it comes back clean, we say so and get on with it. Either way you hear the number, which is more than most quotes in this market will give you.

We open the slab with diamond tooling and a HEPA extractor so the coating bonds into the concrete rather than sitting on it.
Cracks, pits and spalling get filled, and the slab gets tested for moisture before anything is sealed over it.
A two-part polyurea goes down and the flake is broadcast into it wet, to full rejection, so the color is in the floor.
