Cooper City

Cooper City sits in a useful middle ground for concrete. Most of the city was developed from the late 1970s through the 1990s, with Monterra and the newer sections delivered considerably later, so the slab conditions are generally better than the older eastern Broward neighborhoods without reaching the uniformly clean concrete of Parkland or Weston.

Rock Creek and Embassy Lakes are the neighborhoods we see most, and they are typically two car garages in the 400 to 500 square foot range on slabs that test acceptably. Flamingo Gardens and the older sections toward Griffin Road can run earlier and are worth testing carefully. Monterra, delivered from the late 2000s, has the newest concrete in the city and the largest garages.

This is a family town and the garages reflect it. A great deal of what we coat here has been carrying bikes, sports equipment, a chest freezer and a workbench for fifteen years, which usually means oil staining under the parking area and a fair amount of surface abuse elsewhere. None of that is a problem, it just means grinding is doing real work rather than a light scuff.
